Live: Queuing M6 traffic and huge delays due to rush hour crash
Inrix said: "Traffic returned to normal, earlier accident on M6 Southbound from J24 A58 Liverpool Road to J23 A580 East Lancashire Road .Lane two has now reopened on the M6 following the earlier crash. Lane one remains closed and there are delays of 30 minutes in the area.
National Highways said: "Lane 2 is now open on the M6 southbound between J24 and J23 . Lane 1 remains closed for ongoing recovery work at scene. There are delays of 30 minutes on approach to the incident. Approx. 3 miles of congestion."There are delays of up to 40 minutes on the M6 following a crash involving a car and a lorry.
AA said: "Severe delays of 35 minutes and delays increasing on M6 Southbound between J26 M58 and J23 A580 East Lancashire Road . Average speed five mph."
