Shops in the area 'go the extra mile'
Shoppers and business owners have spoken out about retail in an area where customers are ‘consistently genuine’ and businesses go ‘the extra mile.’ On Trent Boulevard in Lady Bay, there aren’t as many shops as there are in neighbouring West Bridgford - but Lady Bay businesses have left a good impression on their locals.
Lady Bay has a population of over 5,000 people. It sits on the banks of the Trent and nearby landmarks in the area include Lady Bay bridge, which is over 140 years old. Witek Wilczynski owns the Snail & Rabbit on 82 Trent Boulevard. The shop has been running for a decade. Witek continued: “It can be quite difficult finding us because we’re not on the high street but living in Lady Bay is beautiful, it’s quiet and the people are friendly.”
Sanita continued: “ I go to the Co-Op, I take my son to the barbers and like going for coffees at Bread and Butterflies.”
