Thankfully, the diagnosis turned out to be wrong. The tumour was benign, but it had to be removed. I was one of the lucky ones. Gruelling surgery and the six months of recovery that followed was tough, but it felt like a holiday compared to the death sentence I’d just been spared.. Holidays abroad, long lunches, and rounds of golf. I had the time, resources, and freedom to do whatever I liked, whenever I liked. My days were full, but despite all of this, it wasn’t long before .
