Teen R Kelly victim who was ‘raped’ by singer in sick 2002 sex tape is ‘helping prosecutors in new sex-trafficking case’
Federal prosecutors have filed indictments in courts in Chicago and New York charging Kelly with offences including kidnapping, forced labour, and theHe was already facing state charges in Illinois relating to the sexual abuse of three girls and a woman.It is not yet known the extent to which the woman in the 2002 tape has now agreed to cooperate with authorities.
A similar claim is made in one of the federal indictments brought on Friday, but Christopher Brown, a lawyer representing the woman, has said the claims are "false and have no basis in reality". One of the women - dubbed Jane Doe No. 2 - met Kelly in a mall about 15 years ago, when she was her early twenties, theKelly invited her to his recording studio in Chicago, where his associates made a copy of her driving licence.She was taken to a locked bedroom, where she was kept for three days “without sustenance”.
