However, Dema-ala said that how the joint exercises will be conducted has yet to be determined as the agreement first needs to be ratified by the legislative branches of both nations. The Army spokesperson also noted that RAA’s the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Japan Self-Defense Forces must also draw up implementing rules and regulations before conducting the exercises.
