Heavy rain Sunday morning caused a delay in the start of the 108th Running of the Indy 500.
Just before opening ceremonies Sunday morning, IMS announced a delay in the start of the race and asked fans to leave the stands as rain moved in.

"It's my first race and I'm pretty mad because I was trying to stay in there and see what was going to happen with the rain and stuff," said Noah Bina. At 11:15 a.m. Sunday, IMS officials made the decision to delay the race to give fans plenty of time to get to a safe place as storms rolled in.Before fans exited the stands, they told 13News they were going to find unique ways to pass the time.Whether fans are in the grandstands or waiting outside, they say they are still glad to be in the Racing Capital of the World.
