Rachael Blackmore will hope to continue her charity work for the Injured Jockeys Fund and Irish Injured Jockeys during the upcoming Grand National Festival
Rachael Blackmore and Betfair are aiming to take their charity donation total to over £250,000 across the 2024 Grand National Festival at Aintree.
Betfair immediately contributed £100,000 of their money towards the cause while challenging Blackmore to raise more funds - which would be donated by Betfair in £5,000 increments - by winning races between the November meeting at Haydock and the Grand National this Saturday, April 13.READ MORE: What time is the Grand National? "The work of IIJ and IJF is vital in providing support services for jockeys past and present. It’s great to have Betfair supporting not only me, but two organisations that are so important to us as jockeys." With Aintree the final opportunity for Blackmore to add to her total, she is hoping to have a successful time on Merseyside - perhaps repeating her Grand National heroics with Minella Times three years ago - and hit the £250,000 mark for her donations.
