Political commentator Rachel Maddow gave a harsh warning about former president Donald Trump and the upcoming presidential election while appearing on The View on Tuesday.'Trump and his movement, they're not running against Democrats. They're running against democracy,' said the host of MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show. 'They're running against the democratic process. They want to radically change the kind of system that we have, the government that we have.
Maddow also discussed Trump's conviction on 34 felony counts in the New York hush money trial. She shared her observations from being inside the courtroom.'He's just a man and nobody's here to support him, including his wife,' Maddow said.While Trump has called the trial 'rigged' and politically motivated, Maddow said trials and convictions of Democratic politicians and Hunter Biden prove the justice system is not politically biased.
