Harrisburg police are investigating after a swastika and racist words were spray-painted on a vacant city building.According to a city spokesperson, the vandalism happened inside the former traffic engineering building at South 19th and Caledonia streets after someone broke in.The spokesperson said it's not clear when the break-in happened.A city employee was alerted Friday about the vandalism.
A vacant city-owned building at South 19th and Caledonia Streets was broken into, and a swastika and n-words were spray painted on windows from the inside. I have Commissioner Carter and Harrisburg Police investigating how this happened. I urge whoever did this to come forward, because we are going to find out.'I want to be very clear: hate has no place in Harrisburg. This is not just an attack on our Black and Jewish population.
