The thug was jailed for 18 months
Darren McGeachy, 26, lashed out at constable Thomas Provan at a Glasgow police station on July 19 2022. McGeachy was earlier arrested having assaulted his partner and threw a bottle from the 10th floor of a block of flats in the city's Knightswood.McGeachy pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to assaulting the officer as well as Brodie McGregor. He also admitted culpable and reckless conduct as well as behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Prosecutor Heather Naismith said: "He pushed and pulled Miss McGregor seizing her by the wrist then pulled her to the ground. While doing so, his fingernails dug into her leaving her bleeding with visible red scratches." McGeachy was handcuffed where he made the racist remarks as well as called officers: "F***ing paedo b*******s."
