Inches of rain accumulate in North Texas causing flash flooding in some areas.
Although there were lingering showers in Dallas-Fort Worth Thursday morning, the remainder of the day is expected to be drier throughout the region.The flood watch issued Wednesday by the weather service expired in North Texas but remained in place in Central Texas.Storm totals from since Monday show a swath of much needed rain of 3 to 6 inches over North Texas. The highest measured total was near Glen Rose at over 8 inches. Today another 1-3" expected across Central Texas.
MedStar, which serves Fort Worth and surrounding areas, responded to 28 crashes since 3 p.m. on Wednesday, including one rollover, a vehicle sinking in water and a crash involving a vehicle striking a pedestrian, a spokesperson said.Data from the Texas Department of Transportation showed one “high water” incident blocking two northbound lanes and the entrance ramp of Loop 12 and Northwest Highway in Dallas County as of 8:30 a.m.
