BRITS are set to be hit by heavy rain and winds over the next three days before a potentially “life-threatening” August Bank Holiday scorcher.
A sunny long weekend will be welcomed by Brits bored with the cooler and damper weather we have seen for the past few weeks. The hottest overall August Bank Holiday weekend temperature on record is 31.5C, on August 25, 2001, at Heathrow, Met Office records show.
