The low pressure area embedded within the intertropical convergence zone is less likely to develop into a tropical cyclone but will still bring rains over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Sunday, March 27.“This weather disturbance remains less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours.
Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are also likely over Bohol, Siquijor, Southern Leyte, southern Cebu, southern part of Negros Island, Palawan, and the rest of Mindanao. Moreover, the State weather bureau urged the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned to take appropriate actions.
Meanwhile, the easterlies or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean will prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
