If Cooper Kupp is forced miss any games because of his latest injury, it would be a major blow to a Rams offense that is in desperate need of playmakers.
The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Rams, 41-10, on Sunday night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. What we learned from the loss that dropped the Rams’ record to 0-2: A week after catching 14 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown against the Detroit Lions, Cooper Kupp suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter after catching a pass and turning it into a 24-yard gain. He caught four passes for 37 yards before he was injured, and did not play in the second half.
Cardinals running back James Conner also exploited the middle of the Rams defense while rushing for 122 yards and a touchdown in 21 carries. Left tackle Alaric Jackson will return this week after serving a two-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. With Nick Bosa and the San Francisco 49ers coming to SoFi Stadium on Sunday, that should be good news for the Rams if Jackson is in playing shape.
