John Hartson, Frank McAvennie, Ian Durran and Charlie Miller all starred as captains in a Ryder Cup style golf day for brave Calum Rae
Celtic heroes John Hartson and Frank McAvennie captained their Hoops side against former Rangers’ stars Ian Durrant and Charlie Miller who led a Light Blues team, to raise funds for Troon lad Calum Rae.
The day was all in aid of the courageous four-year-old from Troon who needed £250,000 to go to New York for life saving treatment for stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma, a rare but very aggressive cancer. The Renewable Energy worker from Glasgow was able to get the Rangers and Celtic legends on board through contacts and generated £13,400 from ticket sales, with 65 golfers taking part.
