South Lanarkshire Council leader Joe Fagan and his former Rangers teammate David MacKinnon unveiled the restoration.
The statue of Rangers and Motherwell legend Davie Cooper in Hamilton has been restored to its former glory.
Councillor Joe Fagan, the Leader of South Lanarkshire Council said: “I am delighted that we have been able to restore this statue recognising the life of one of our area’s most famous sons.Get all the news from your area – as well as features, entertainment, sport and the latest on Lanarkshire’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic – straight to your fingertips, 24/7.
“So, it is great to see the overhaul of the statue and its surrounding area. His former Rangers teammate David MacKinnon added: "Having been a friend and team-mate of Davie, it was sad to see the deterioration of this memorial to him on a recent visit.
