A tale of Ibrox woe has gone beyond Scotland as outsiders hear of what they have become
That was the question posed by Alan Brazil as he desperately sought answers to Rangers' ongoing woes. But, in truth, it's impossible to quantify the severity of this side's fall as they continue to plunge deeper into a hole. And Rangers' ongoing crisis, coupled with a rousing return to prominence for Aberdeen, was the headline news during a feisty radio debate on Tuesday morning as Philippe Clement was served some unflinching truths.
Brazil, who occupies the green corner, appeared to be coming from a place of genuine concern as he clued in listeners beyond Scotland of a side who are on the slide. He asked talkSPORT co-host Gabriel Agbonlahor if their pal Ally McCoist was primed and ready for an Ibrox return and fielded a call from irate Ibrox diehard Tom.
And former Manchester United and Ipswich striker Brazil once again aired what he has heard about life inside Rangers. Speaking on his breakfast show, he said: "I'm told, I've been told for ages, I know I like a bit of a wind-up now and again, but it is friendly. I am told that there is a massive rift in the board."
And Agbonlahor had Clement in his cross hairs as he ripped into a manager he reckons is mirroring the man Manchester United has relieved of their duties. He added: "Is he related to Ten Hag? He sounds like another deluded manager, who doesn't know what they are talking about."
