Rangers were on fire against Dundee on Wednesday night but it's the away fans' pyro show dominates the Hotline as Fraser Wilson takes your calls.
The pyro maniacs have lit a fuse on the debate over flares and smoke bombs in Scottish football. Wednesday’s scenes at Dens Park as Rangers fans turned the away end into a fiery red plume has upped the ante for the authorities as they seek a way to douse the growing problem.
Jamie Thompson, Yoker, said: “I agree with others that pyro must be stopped and anyone found with these devices should be banned by their club. All fans should be searched as they enter stadium, is that too much to ask?” Meanwhile, Wullie Graham, Bristol, said: “There is no doubt Hearts made the right decision in reducing the Old Firm ticket allocation. We have witnessed the perfect reason for it this last week. Nobody in their right mind would invite that kind of behaviour into their stadium. From sectarian songs and chants, offensive banners and the scenes at Dundee. Scottish football is dying on its feet, fans of other clubs are staying away in droves and scared to take their children.
And Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, said: “It’s a nice start for Clement. There’s also a big improvement in Danilo and after a terrible struggle Sam Lammers finally scores a beauty. Four games and Clement hasn't put a foot wrong giving long-suffering fans real hope of winning trophies. But it’s still a little bit early to make a big statement on what Clement will achieve, we've watched that movie before with Michael Beale and Gio van Bronckhorst.
