Brendan Rodgers' men are seven clear of Aberdeen with a game in hand and 11 ahead of Rangers at this stage
Derek Ferguson has admitted he can't see Rangers making up the 11 point gap on Celtic - but fancies his old club to 'put a dent' in Brendan Rodgers ' men.
The Hoops extended their lead at the top of the Premiership table to seven points over Aberdeen after a late Reo Hatate winner. The champions hold a game in hand over Jimmy Thelin's men while Philippe Clement and his troops are even further back, despite hitting Kilmarnock for six at Ibrox. Celtic have dropped just two points all season, and that was from a winning position after the Dons turned around a two-goal deficit at Parkhead earlier in the season to earn a share of the spoils. But the form of Callum McGregor and Co has raised the question whether the league title is already over between the Open Goal pundits. Host Si Ferry posed the question to James McFadden, Gordon Dalziel and Ferguson in the latest episode of 'Right in the Coupon'.
Host Ferry asked if the league was over before Ferguson honestly admitted: "I don't see Rangers making it up." McFadden then added that Celtic 'are going to win the league' before Ferry threw the ball back to the Rangers hero, asking him if he thinks they were going to go unbeaten. Ferguson then said: "No. I'm just thinking somewhere along the line that Rangers will put a dent in them. I am hoping it is in ten days time. I have a wee feeling but they are in a great place, Celtic."
