David McCarthy manned the phone and there continues to be one main topic up for discussion - who will be next boss at Ibrox?
Not a lot of sympathy for Michael Beale but plenty of support for Steven Davis is the order of the day on the Hotline as the interim Rangers manager prepares for his first match in the dugout.
Scott Gowers, Edinburgh, said: "As a Rangers fan I'm surprised that on Armed Forces day at Ibrox the Rangers strikers couldn't shoot on target, it's like they were unarmed. Why, why, why? Beale, Beale, Beale is the answer. Let's hope Steven Davis can motivate the players Beale brought in or it's only top six at best. Please don't judge Davis on his management career as there's only so much you can do with a bad bunch.
"As Jordan said, Rangers need a very significant manager to be in the dugout such as Souness as it's a job not for the faint hearted. Grizzled Graeme ticks all the boxes. Bringing untried Muscat is a massive risk - he looks similar to Beale and the Board can't afford to get it wrong again." John Stuart, Blantyre, said: "Great to see people like Gary Stevenson on the Hotline putting a positive spin on the Rangers predicament. Exciting times ahead? I have my doubts. The biggest job in Scottish football? Aye right! Like 55 titles....he clearly works on the basis that if you keep saying the same thing often enough eventually you will be believed. Sadly for Gary on this occasion the truth will hurt. Still Gary....stay positive.
