Oliver Antman’s first season at Rangers did not go to plan in a disappointing campaign. Now, the winger could depart Ibrox this summer after just one season.
In the Scottish Premiership, he only managed one goal and three assists throughout the campaign, despite making 16 appearances in the competition. After a third-place finish in the Scottish Premiership, it is clear that an overhaul is needed at Ibrox.
Antman was one such player, and his lack of minutes under Danny Rohl is evidence that the manager simply does not trust him. Now, with Club Brugge reportedly having the winger on their summer shortlist, Rangers must make it clear that he is available. Offloading Antman is needed, and it will make it clear to the rest of the squad that failure is not acceptable.
Three of the Gers’ four January signings were 22-years-old, outlining a clear shift in transfer strategy in Rohl’s first window at the helm. As a result, the club may not be able to bring in as many eye-catching targets, but they still hope to turn many of their signings into superstars in the Scottish Premiership.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen who Rangers will bring in over the course of the summer, with a big transfer window needed if the club are to win the title in the 2026-27 season.
