The Light Blues are looking to keep their title hopes alive with a big three points against Derek McInnes' side on Sunday.
The pressure is back on Rangers to stay within touching distance of Celtic when they face Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon.
The green half of Glasgow's 3-0 win against Hearts on Saturday has seen them move six points clear of their bitter rivals at the top of the Premiership, with the two teams set to face off for the final team in the league this season next Saturday. Philippe Clement's men have been below part in recent weeks, but put disappointing results to Ross County and Dundee behind them with a narrow 2-1 victory away to St Mirren last weekend.
But those struggling levels of performance will give Belgian boss a few decisions to ponder when he selects his starting XI to face a Killie team that beat them on the opening weekend of the season. Despite the recent blip, one man who has been in decent form is Cyriel Dessers. The Nigeria international continues to split opinion with Gers fans, but four goals in his last six matches have seen the striker take his tally to 20 goals in all competitions in his first season in Govan.
Rangers were known for their defensive resolve in the first few months of Clement's arrival, but just one clean sheet in their four Premiership matches has also been detrimental to their title charge. Key centre back Connor Goldson has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign, with Leon Balogun - who will be offered a new deal at Ibrox - expected to partner John Soutar at the heart of the Light Blues back line.
Elsewhere, the extremely versatile Dujon Sterling could be deployed in a more advanced position against Derek McInnes' Killie, with playmaker Todd Cantwell also hoping to play a starring role against the Rugby Park side. Full back Ridvan Yilmaz and midfielder Ryan Jack are also edging closer to a return from injury, with the former in with a chance of being included in the squad for Sunday's game.
