Sevilla have reportedly rejected a loan approach from Rangers to sign Joan Jordan.
It's claimed the Ibrox club tabled an offer to sign the Spanish central midfielder for the upcoming season.
However, the deal is said to be off due to Sevilla not being willing to subsidise the player's wages.Sevilla have no plans to cover part of the salary for Jordán as Rangers required, deal currently off.Fabrizio Romano reported the Rangers transfer interest on Saturday but warns the player is expected to remain at Sevilla - where he is under contract until 2027.
Jordan, 30, played 13 times for the La Liga club last season but it's thought the Spanish side will keep hold of the midfielder. As reported by Romano, the structure of the loan approach would have seen Rangers sign Jordan on a temporary deal while paying part of his salary.The transfer specialist reports:"Sevilla have rejected proposal from Rangers for Joan Jordán to join the Scottish club on loan.
