Bartosz Frankowski and countryman Tomasz Musial sinned in a major way and have now been punished
A pair of 'hooligan' Polish referees who were booted out of Rangers' Champions League showdown with Dynamo Kyiv for being drunk and getting arrested by local police have now been suspended by the Polish FA for 90 days.
The Polish FA stated: "The disciplinary committee heard the explanations of two Ekstraklasa football referees who were to work at the Champions League qualifying match between Dynamo Kyiv and Rangers, regarding their hooligan conduct. The committee decided to apply a preventive measure against them in the form of a ban on football competitions organised by the Polish Football Association with immediate effect for a period of 90 days.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Brazhko praised Rangers for their display in the Champions League, but insisted his side were unlucky not to win. And the Dynamo star insisted they are determined to make up for it in Glasgow next week. Rangers secured a 1-1 draw in Poland after Cyriel Dessers grabbed an equaliser with the last kick of the ball in Lublin after Dynamo had taken a first half lead. Now Ukraine's international midfielder Brazhko has urged his men to finish the job at Hampden.
Elsewhere, former Rangers star Connor Goldson looks set to miss the start of the season with his new club in Cyprus after picking up a knee injury. The 31-year-old made the surprising transfer to Aris Limassol in a £1.5 million move at the end of last month after six years and 309 appearances for Rangers.
