Liam Kelly says the Steelmen must continue their footballing philosophy as they welcome Celtic
The Fir Park skipper says the Steelmen’s performance in the 1-0 defeat against Rangers at Ibrox shows they’re on the right road, and urges his team-mates to keep going – especially with Celtic looming at home on Saturday.
“We’re going to get more results than not if we play well, so ultimately the most important thing for us is building.” Kelly reckons Motherwell deserved to take something from Ibrox, even if the keeper admits he breathed a sigh of relief when an offside flag prevented Cyriel Dessers from winning a penalty in the second half.
“If you’ve watched us in the last few months I don’t think you could have expected anything else – that gives us the best opportunity to win games.
