P Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested late on Monday night
Hip hop star Sean 'P Diddy' Combs was arrested last night and taken into federal custody in New York. The arrest follows Homeland Security's raids on the music mogul's homes in Beverly Hills, California, and Miami, Florida, back in March, the Mirror reports.
A representative for P Diddy, lawyer Marc Agnifilo, told The Mirror.com : "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Sean 'Diddy' Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community.
Although there is little information available regarding the precise details of Diddy's arrest due to the indictment being sealed, United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, has claimed in a Twitter post that that would soon change. But a different image began emerging in November, when his former protege and girlfriend, the RandB singer Cassie, became the first of several people to sue him for what she alleges was sexual abuse, with alleged stories of a steady stream of sex workers in drug-fueled settings where some of those involved were allegedly coerced or cajoled into sex.
