The error coin was accidentally minted with one type of metal, making it look as if it's all one colour
The unique coin was issued in 2022 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the FA Cup. Overall, it looks similar to other £2 coins which are bi-metallic, featuring the standard gold-coloured ring comprised of Nickel-brass and a silver-coloured centre made of Cupro-nickel.
"Rare error straight from the mint this mono £2 coin is basically all gold missing the silver bit. Never seen another."
