Dortmund are exploring signing a forward this month as they prepare for the exit of Aston Villa target Donyell Malen. Rashford , as first reported by The Athletic, is one of the candidates Dortmund are looking at after he expressed his desire for a new challenge last month.
However, as things stand the chances of a deal are currently slim because of the 27-year-old's high wages and any agreement this month would likely be for a loan. Sky Sports News understands AC Milan are discussing internally whether to make a move for Rashford, and could make an approach to further discuss the idea this week. Milan would only be able to do a loan - and would need United to pay a big portion of his wages, with his salary also a big obstacle for Milan to conclude any loan arrangement. Juventus are also interested in the England forward, according to Sky in Germany. United have yet to receive an official offer for Rashford, while United head coach Ruben Amorim has said it is up to Rashford to force his way back into the first-team reckoning. All options seemingly remain open. Ideally for United, Rashford gets back on track and performs well for the team, which would likely increase his value if the club decide to sell him in the summer. Alternatively, while a loan - and paying a portion of the wages - is not ideal, United can point towards the benefit such a move had on Jadon Sancho's value last season.
