Marcus Rashford has expressed his desire for a new challenge and hinted at leaving Manchester United. He made these comments following his exclusion from the squad that defeated Manchester City, citing poor behavior in training as the reason.
Marcus Rashford has admitted that he's ready for a ' new challenge ' as he continues to be linked with a move away from Manchester United . Rashford has been in the news this week after he was left out of the United squad that beat Manchester City at the weekend for poor behaviour in training. The England international has been struggling for form this season and was also booed by sections of the away end on Thursday night in the Europa League.
The forward, along with team-mate Alejandro Garnacho who was also omitted from the United squad to face City, trained at the club’s Carrington training ground just hours before the game at the Etihad kicked off. However, since Ruben Amorim's decision to leave Rashford out, speculation has been rife about the forward’s future at Old Trafford. And now, in an interview with journalist Henry Winter, Rashford has admitted for the first time that he is ready for a new challenge away from the club. He said: 'For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps. 'When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'. You're not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That's me as a person. 'If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me.' Asked if he'd always be a United supporter, he replied: 'Yes! 100 per cent. 100 per cent.' United’s late 2-1 derby win, which came as a result of goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad was somewhat overshadowed by the absence of both Rashford and Garnacho.
