Ravenna firefighters responded to the 600 block of Hazen Ave. Sunday.
PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio - A 64-year-old woman is under arrest for allegedly starting a fire in the middle of her apartment living room, opening a sliding glass door and “watching the fire spread throughout the building.”As they were evacuating numerous residents, firefighters said they noticed a woman with burns and cuts on her arms and requested EMS.
According to firefighters, Gina Parnell then made statements to the EMS squad about “Trump and Biden sending people to kill her.” Parnell was transported to a local hospital and firefighters said Gina Parnell later confessed to detectives to starting the blaze.Any person with additional information about this incident is asked to call the City of Ravenna Police department Detective Bureau at 330-296-6486 or the Ravenna Fire Department at 330-297-5738.
