Actor Treat Williams, whose nearly 50-year career included starring roles in the TV series “Everwood” and the movie “Hair,”Shortly before 5 p.m., a Honda SUV was turning left into a parking lot when it collided with Williams' motorcycle in the town of Dorset,
Williams, whose full name was Richard Treat Williams, lived in Manchester Center in southern Vermont, police said.Williams' agent, Barry McPherson, also confirmed the actor's death.“He was an actor’s actor," McPherson said."Filmmakers loved him. He’s been the heart of the Hollywood since the late 1970s.”
"As you can imagine, we are shocked and greatly bereaved at this time," his family said in a statement to ."Treat was full of love for his family, for his life and for his craft, and was truly at the top of his game in all of it. It is all so shocking right now, but please know that Treat was dearly and deeply loved and respected by his family and everyone who knew him."
