Real Madrid must make at least one change to their starting line up when they face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in next week's Champions League quarter-final second leg.
Carlo Ancelotti has a plan for replacing the suspended Aurelien Tchouameni when Real Madrid travel to Manchester City next week, but he still has to pick between two alternative defenders.
Tchouameni, playing at centre-back, will miss next Wednesday's clash at the Etihad, but Real were able to navigate the rest of the game without Eduardo Camavinga, Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham earning yellow cards, so they are available. In his post-match press conference, Ancelotti described the selection dilemma as his only 'doubt' for the second leg, saying: "We are going to replace Tchouameni with Nacho or Militao. That is the doubt. We have to evaluate what has happened, but we have to continue in this line, play face to face like we did today and see what happens."
The report notes that Bellingham was largely ineffective against City in the first leg, and is 'devastated' because he has not had a proper rest all season. The England international's 'physical decline is undoubted', it is claimed, in part because he is asked to cover so much ground in attack and also supporting the defence.
