Man United were let off the hook against Arsenal after VAR chose to overturn a penalty after Kai Havertz went down
Former Premier League referee Mike Dean believes the minimal contact from Aaron Wan-Bissaka on Kai Havertz was the reason Arsenal's penalty appeal against Manchester United was overturned by VAR.
After some deliberation, Anthony Taylor pointed to the penalty spot. Immediately, Gary Neville claimed it would not be overturned. However, Taylor quickly decided to overturn the decision when he went to the monitor. In the aftermath, Dean, who was on the gantry in north London, said: "If it was me on the field I would give that. From our initial position it looked like a penalty - yeah, there’s hardly any contact and I can see why he might overturn this.
