Merseyside Police were called shortly before 7am

Police swarmed a field this morning after two dogs were found abandoned. Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to King George V playing fields in Huyton at around 6.45am today, November 8. The dogs are believed to have been tired to a tree, with police attending alongside Dogs Trust to assist with the rescue. The charity confirmed the dogs were taken to a rehoming centre where they are being cared for.

' A Merseyside Police spokesperson told the ECHO : 'We received a report that two dogs had been left abandoned on a field off Longview Lane, in Huyton, at around 6.45am this morning, Friday 8 November.
