Zack Snyder's Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver is set to release on Netflix tomorrow, and if Snyder has any say in it, more will come.
revealed that he actually has plans for up to six movies in the Rebel Moon franchise and would definitely like to make at least four of them.
“I guess four makes sense,” said Snyder on how many Rebel Moon movies he’d like to make. “Four or six movies, depending . . . I guess it’s whether or not every time we make one of these movies we make two, that’s the question. We were talking about it the other day and I was like, would an audience be disappointed if they only got one movie now from Rebel Moon? Would they be like, ‘Oh, it’s one now? Great.
A third Rebel Moon film hasn’t officially been confirmed by Netflix, but Snyder has spoken in the past about wanting to make an expansive Rebel Moon universe. This includes R-rated cuts of the first two Rebel Moon films as well as a video game set in the world that’s currently in development.
The film stars Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Staz Nair, Fra Fee, Cleopatra Coleman, Stuart Martin, Ingvar Sigurðsson, Alfonso Herrera, Cary Elwes, Rhian Rees, E. Duffy, Sky Yang, Charlotte Maggi, and Anthony Hopkins as the voice of Jimmy. Snyder returns to direct Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver.
