During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live – to promote her new film, The Hustle – she told the host their director had asked her to do it, in a bid to surprise her co-star.Discussing the 2012 movie, she confessed: ‘My first day on set, the director said, “When you enter the scene, I want you to just stick your finger up Tom Hardy’s butt.”‘He was wearing pants, so I couldn’t go all the way up.
She felt Anne up in a scene while pretending to be blind, and improvised the whole thing on the spot, neglecting to tell the Devil Wears Prada star her idea.‘Like, I should have told her about it,’ she joked to the host, explaining it wasn’t ‘actor’s etiquette’.‘If you’re going to touch somebody inappropriately, you have to tell them before the take and say, “Is it alright if I do this to you?”‘
