Police closed off a number of South Belfast streets following an incident allegedly "involving a crossbow."on Wednesday evening following reports that a cyclist was shot at with a crossbow by a man on the roof of a property.

It's understood officers in protective clothing were at the scene attempting to remove the man from the roof.A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Police are currently dealing with an ongoing incident in the St Judes Parade area of south Belfast. There have been no injuries and there are no further details at this time."
