The Saraland Water and Sewer Service reported an overflow that occurred on July 17 and spilled into Bayou Sara. The spill was more than 1,000 gallons but less than 10,000 gallons, according to the health department. The overflow happened on the south side of Celeste Road between Camelot Drive and Lafayette Drive, the MCHD reported Thursday.

The Prichard Water Works & Sewer Board also reported multiple overflows that began on July 17 and spilled an estimated total of 103,175 gallons, the health department said Friday.Dr. Kevin Michaels, health officer for Mobile County, advises area residents to take precautions when coming into contact with any standing water that may have accumulated as a result of these overflows.
