The party is notching up a huge lead
Labour have surged to huge leads over the Tories in four separate polls. One showed the party a record-breaking 33 points ahead of the Conservatives.
It put Labour on 54% compared to the Conservatives’ 21%. Labour's previous 21-year record was 17 points, set just a few days ago, the Mirror reports. Of the other polls, Survation gave Labour a 21-point lead while Redfield & Wilton Strategies recorded a 17-point lead. A Deltapoll survey for the Mirror on Thursday gave Labour 19-point lead over the Tories.
It is Deltapoll’s biggest Labour lead since the firm was founded in 2018. It beats the firm’s previous record of 13 points, which was set four days ago.
