ChatGPT has taken the internet by storm thanks to its ability to do everything from solving computer bugs, to helping write a Sky News article about itself.
A recruitment team unknowingly recommended ChatGPT for a job interview after the AI was used to complete an application task.
But one business owner decided to get ahead of that particular game, involving the ever-improving software in his company's hiring process to get an idea of just how worried he should be.Like the human candidates, ChatGPT was given a writing brief:"In 300 words, tell us the secret of good writing." At its core, writing is about communication and connecting with your audience. And the best way to do that is by telling a story that resonates with them. It's about creating a narrative that engages the reader and makes them want to keep turning the pages. It's about using language to paint a vivid picture in the reader's mind, and using structure to guide them through the story.
Finally, don't be afraid to revise and edit your work. No one gets it right on the first try, and the best writers are always willing to go back and fine-tune their work until it's the best it can be. With submissions divorced from any names and CVs when evaluated by staff, they were left ignorant as to the involvement of a robot applicant.
