The Red Arrows will make appearances at Southport and Blackpool Airshows
The iconic Red Arrows have announced their display schedule for this year with locations near Greater Manchester among the displays. The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team celebrate their 60th anniversary this year and have flown thousands over displays across the world over the years.
Performing jaw-dropping aerial feats and breathtaking manoeuvres, the Red Arrows are one of the world’s premier aerobatic display teams. They have now released their 2024 schedule, with the first display marking the Battle of Crete during World War Two on May 21. For displays closer to home, the famous pilots will make an appearance Southport Airshow in July. You can also catch them at the Blackpool Airshow in August.Flying distinctive Hawk fast-jets, the team is made up of pilots, engineers and essential support staff with frontline, operational experience. They are based at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire and are known for their Diamond Nine shape, close formations and precision flying.
Each year their displays change, so even if you’ve seen them before you’re still in for a treat. You can view the full Red Arrows schedule below, although some locations and dates are subject to change, while events could be added at a later date - you check for any changes on the RAF website.
