'By stripping away the red tape, rules and limits typical of current competition formats, we want to deliver an event which inspires riders to push the boundaries'
The event will see 16 of the world’s most innovative riders compete in a first-of-its-kind format with a custom-built park at the Manchester Central Convention Complex. Created by BMX legend and Red Bull athlete Sebastian Keep, rules of the competition mean riders won't be penalised for falling, giving them a platform to try perform tricks that have never been seen before.
The competition consists of four individual features, all bigger and bolder than ever seen in a competitive setting. These include High Air, Sub Box, Quarter Pipe and Jump Box. Each feature will be independent and judged by four of the most esteemed in the industry, including Olympic Gold medallist Charlotte Worthington MBE, Olympic Bronze medallist Declan Brooks and recent Olympic Games head judge, David Cleworth.
"Becoming the first person to land a Triple Flair last year has only made me hungrier to want to hit more milestones and to be able to do that in front of an audience in competition is hugely exciting and something completely different for fans to see."
