Red Bull's motorsport advisor Helmut Marko dismisses recent rumors of inflated transfer fees involving the team, stating that speculations about potential fees are 'complete nonsense.' The team recently restructured its lineup, with Sergio Perez departing and Liam Lawson promoted from Racing Bulls to partner Max Verstappen. This move continues Red Bull's tradition of promoting drivers from its Junior Programme.
Helmut Marko has suggested any talk of “ transfer fees ” involving Red Bull is “complete nonsense” as rumours swirled about the team’s future lineup.
Now though, they have gone for a far cheaper move with Perez walking away while Liam Lawson has moved up from Racing Bulls. “There’s a lot of speculation about this, including rumours about possible transfer fees, which are complete nonsense,” Marko wrote in his Speedweek column.
