The actor, comedian and presenter, known for his roles on Red Dwarf and Coronation Street, spent 24 hours at Wythenshawe Hospital but he is yet to receive a diagnosis.
Actor and radio presenter Craig Charles says he was rushed to hospital after becoming unwell during his BBC radio show.
"When we were doing the show on Wednesday... my hand couldn't grip the pen properly, and my fingers were tingling, and I had a pain in the right side of my shoulder, going up my neck and into the back of my head," he said. As soon as his slot finished at 4pm, the 58-year-old was met by his wife Jackie who drove from the BBC headquarters in Salford to Wythenshawe Hospital.
