The incident caused major disruption on Friday
A BMW driver made a miraculous escape from the wreckage of a crash which brought trains to a halt in Greater Manchester. The black car smashed through a concrete barrier near the pedestrian walkway at the Regent Road roundabout, in Salford , at 2am on Friday .
Greater Manchester Police confirmed on Friday the driver, a man in his 30s, had not suffered any life-changing injury in the smash. He was arrested on suspicion of drink driving following the collision. Services between Wigan North Western and Manchester were also affected. The BMW was the sole car involved in the crash and, luckily, no other injuries were reported.
