The Waubonsee Community College Foundation will host its fourth annual Walk, Run and Win 5K and 10K fundraising event at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 1, on the college’s Sugar Grove campus.

Runners and walkers take part in a previous Walk, Run and Win fundraising event at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove. Registration is underway for this year’s event, which will be held June 1 at Waubonsee. Each year, the foundation raises funds to provide student scholarships. The foundation provided 364 scholarship awards totaling almost $363,000 for the 2023-24 academic year, according to a press release about the upcoming event.

Sixth Ave. in St. Charles. As part of National Stop the Bleed Month this May, the Kane County Health Department will hold a free community training session on Wednesday, May 15, aimed at giving citizens the skills and confidence needed to save lives in emergency bleeding situations.
