Break-ups can be tough, but some moves could make it even more painful
A relationship expert has revealed her top tips for avoiding a messy break-up - and says you should NEVER post pictures to try and make your ex jealous.
Instead, Jessica says you should take a break from their social media. The love guru is passing on her advice amid Britney Spears's split from husband Sam Asghari.Jessica, co-founder of dating app So Syncd, from the Roseland, Cornwall, said: "One of the main things you should avoid is actively trying to make your ex jealous. It’s a common defence mechanism to deal with rejection but its never a good idea.
Jessica explained: "An extreme example is posting a photo kissing someone - that's definitely coming from a place of hurt. It’s a good idea for a lot of people to not be looking at your ex's social for reasonable time after the break-up, because only causes misery."There are studies that show the more out of sight someone is, the faster you can get over them. So it's completely reasonable to block them altogether if that feels right for you.
She continued: "You don't owe them anything after a break-up in terms of emotional support. Find the neutral balance."
