They cause huge problems for neighbours
People in Long Eaton have spoken out after police enforced a dispersal zone due to anti-social behaviour. Derbyshire Police put a dispersal order in place last weekend, August 5 to 7, in response to anti-social behaviour in the town.
The 41-year-old added that one of the worst spots in Long Eaton for anti-social behaviour is St Laurence's Church on Market Place. He continued: “Always causing trouble around here every day. When the police come they disperse and go off but they soon congregate again.”He added that there is a lot of drug crime in the area also, but added that it’s positive the police are active. He said: “It is a lot better when the police are patrolling.
A resident who wished to remain anonymous added: “I think it’s definitely got worse over the years. I think it’s the same for most places nowadays, it’s quite sad as it can make some people feel unsafe.”
