The VR mode for the Resident Evil 4 remake has 'started development' and will be released as free DLC for PlayStation VR2.
Given that development has seemingly just started on the mode, and that the Resident Evil 4 remake is due for release on March 24, it seems all but certain that this free DLC will be coming further down the line, rather than on day one.The news comes on the same day as Resident Evil Village gets its own VR update, to tie in with the launch of PlayStation VR2 today.
Although it’s not yet clear how much of the Resident Evil 4 remake will be playable in VR, today’s newly released Resident Evil Village update allows the player to play through the game’s entire story in VR, using the VR2 Sense controllers to let them feel vibration, recoil and resistance. The mode is a free DLC add-on for players who already own Resident Evil Village or Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, and is available to download from today. A demo will also be available to download, for PS VR2 owners who don’t own a copy of Village.
