Residents of an apartment building in Carlisle that was damaged by an Easter Sunday fire say they've been notified that their leases were canceled and it could be months before anyone can move into at least some of the apartments there.Emails obtained by WGAL show the property manager informed residents that all leases were canceled as of March 31, the day of the fire and that it could take until July before the majority of apartments are available again.
Security deposits and April rent would be returned via check to those who had prepaid it.In a Friday email, Meinl wrote tenants could look for information about apartment buildings with available units and hotels with discounted rates for residents of the fire-damaged complex at the company's website.
